About the ride

The destination is a mystery.
The purpose isn't.

What began as a way to keep Dad's memory alive has grown into an annual tradition, with riders coming together for a 3-night, 4-day mystery motorbike adventure across regional NSW.

Riders begin in either Dubbo or Newcastle, gathering for breakfast before receiving their first map and instructions. From there, the journey unfolds one stop at a time — each destination revealing the next leg, with meals, accommodation and experiences planned along the way.

No two years are ever the same. Since the inaugural Ride for Crossy in 2018, the ride has travelled thousands of kilometres through regional NSW, creating countless memories and bringing together a community connected by motorbikes, mateship and the legacy Dad left behind.

More than a memorial ride

Connection was something Dad did exceptionally well.

Through sponsorship, you're not simply putting your logo on a motorbike ride — you're helping us continue a legacy, support an important cause and bring a community together for something that genuinely matters.

For years, he brought people together through motorbike rides, friendships and shared experiences. Ride for Crossy continues that legacy — creating the same opportunity for people to get on their bikes, escape everyday life and spend four days genuinely connecting with one another.

But over the years, the ride has also become an opportunity to give back. Since 2020, Andrea and her brother have selected causes and charities meaningful to their family and community, using Ride for Crossy to raise awareness and funds along the way.

In 2022, riders rallied behind Quinn, a little girl battling leukaemia, raising funds for both Quinn and the Children's Hospital at Westmead. In 2026, Ride for Crossy is proudly supporting Cancer Council — giving this year's riders, supporters and sponsors another reason to make every kilometre count.

Ride for Crossy, in motion

Legacy
Ride for Crossy has always been about more than the kilometres travelled. It's about mateship, connection, community, memories — and making a difference. Every rider, supporter and business that gets behind it becomes part of that story.
Cancer Council

2026 charity partner

Like so many families and communities, we've lost people we love to cancer. This year, we're using the reach and generosity of the Ride for Crossy community to help make a difference.

Every contribution helps Cancer Council support people affected by cancer and work towards a cancer-free future through:

  • World-class cancer research focused on improving prevention, detection and treatment
  • Cancer support services, so no one has to face cancer alone — regardless of where they live
  • Prevention programs that reduce cancer risk within our communities
  • Advocacy for positive change in cancer policies and outcomes

Why I do this

Turning grief into generosity.

I feel incredibly privileged to create Ride for Crossy each year. What began as a way to honour my Dad's legacy has grown into something far bigger. While the foundations will always remain true to Dad — mateship, adventure and connection — the ride now carries an even greater purpose: to give back.

For me, Ride for Crossy is about taking something born from loss and using it to bring people together, strengthen community, celebrate life and create an impact far beyond the ride itself. Our mission is simple: to create an impact beyond our own.

Ride for Crossy will always be rooted in my Dad's story. But with the support of our riders, community and sponsors, his legacy continues to reach people he never had the opportunity to meet. That, to me, is the true power of legacy — creating something that continues to make a difference long after you're gone.

— Andrea, founder of Ride for Crossy
